Carbine First Steps is for the person interested in the mindset, tactics, skills, and equipment knowledge to safely operate a tactical carbine rifle.

This is an entry-level class that will introduce you to the operator mindset and teach the fundamental requirements for operating the carbine rifle in a variety of tactical situations and shooting positions. Learn how to take-down the rifle for cleaning. Range time is set with threat targets to engaged from 5 to 50 yards, with a focus on skill development and proper shooting technique. The course will develop core shooting habits and introduce challenging drills that will improve the students’ basic marksmanship.

Level: Beginner
Prerequisites: Applicants must have a basic working knowledge of the weapon system and how to safely load and unload the rifle and the required magazines.
Required Gear: Comfortable closed-heel/toe shoes, Personal Carbine, 50 Rounds of Ammunition.
(Per California law, guest(s) must be 21 or older to handle a PWG rental firearm.)
Requirements: Minimum age of 16 with Parent or Guardian (Age 25 or older), 42 inches tall, signed waiver
