Learn Safe Handgun Use for Self-Defense
Defensive Handgun is designed for the beginner-level shooter to expand their basic skills and fundamentals. This class is designed for students who are interested in the safe and effective use of a handgun for Self-Defense as opposed to just target shooting. Students will learn new skills while reinforcing prior class lessons, which are critical in a defensive situation. Students will also be exposed to using their firearms in controlled, yet stressful, environments.

Level: Intermediate
Prerequisites: Students should have a basic understanding of handgun safety and marksmanship. Students should be able to safely perform basic target shooting skills, which include loading and reloading magazines into the firearm. This class is recommended for those who have taken Handgun First Steps & Handgun Next Steps. This class is highly recommended if the student is considering applying for a CCW or is going to take the CCW Certification
Required Gear: Firearm with a proper fitting holster; a belt that fits the holster, and a minimum of 2 magazines. We will use approximately 200 rounds of ammunition. You will also need eye and ear protection. We have ammunition, eye, and ear protection for sale if you need them.
Age Requirement: 14 Years with a Guardian.
